Kids Code Jeunesse Docks in St. John’s on July 17 for Free Teacher Workshops

Kids Code Jeunesse (KCJ), in partnership with Lighthouse Labs, is pleased to announce that its national Code Create Teach series will sail through Atlantic Canada this summer, with a first stop in St. John’s on Tuesday, July 17.

Inaugurated at the Canada Science and Technology Museum this past spring, Code Create Teach is a groundbreaking national campaign of free, full-day workshops that provide Canadian K – 12 educators with the tools to incorporate the basics of computational thinking and coding inside and outside the classroom.

With a total of 26 workshops in every province and territory, Code Create Teach gives educators the skills and confidence they need to inspire students to tinker, play and experiment with technology so they can become makers rather than consumers of their digital world.

DATE: Tuesday, July 17
TIME: 9:00 AM – 3:45 PM (NDT)
LOCATION: District Conference Centre (40 Strawberry Marsh Rd, St. John’s, Newfoundland A1B 2V5)
